Well, I guess you can call it burnout, but I've gotten to a point in my life where I'm tired of running my own store and want to go back to just designing. So Scraphead is going up for sale. Serious inquiries only, please email me at admin@scraphead.com for information.

I've just renewed the domain through godaddy, so that's good for just under a year more, and the hosting through Bluehost was renewed for a year back in June, so you have about 6 months remaining on it. I've also got dada mail that I use for mailing newsletters, that will come with it as well. Some mods have been installed in Zen Cart. I'd like to stay on board as a designer since I've been there for so long, but I just can't devote my time to all the ins and outs of running it myself anymore.

I hate to do it, I've really loved having Scraphead, but I have to spend more time working outside the home to make ends meet and so this is what has to go.

Yes, it has officially been one year since I took over the reigns here at Scraphead. Where does the time go? It flies when you're having fun, that's for sure! :)

Well, I hope you all enjoyed Christmas (for those that celebrate it), I had a nice quiet day at home with my dogs and my cat. After going through a divorce and moving it was nice to just kick back and spend the day on the couch watching TV. I did go to dinner at some friends house, that was nice end to the day. I was going to try to go see family down in Utah, but we had one heck of a storm blow (and I mean blow) through here, so there was snow everywhere and I didn't want to chance not making it there or making it back home.
I have a busy week ahead of me with my part time job as bartender covering other shifts for folks that are traveling, so I figured I'd better get this going now; So without further ado ladies and gents, it's time to

Morning everyone.

You know, there are times in all our lives where things seem to be getting the better of you. Chaos tries to settle in, things aren't going the way you ever imagined, and you just sit and wonder where life is going to take you and why.

I've had quite a few of those days lately. I've paced this house, I've cried, I've laughed at my dogs and cat, then I've cried again. I've gone outside to set up sprinklers in the yard and looked out at the amazing view I have here and stood in awe at the beauty, and then I've cried again.

Yes, life right now has thrown me a curve ball, and it hasn't been easy. Hard to focus on any one project, whether it be design related, site related or life related. I know I'll get through all of this, but it's been difficult.

And then God sent me a little reminder both last night and this morning when I got up.

One of the emails I received was from a designer at Scraphead, Carol Burns. It was titled: If only humans could respond like this with humans. It is a story of will power. I couldn't save the photos in the email, but it was about a dog with only 2 legs, his hind legs, and how he walked on those legs, upright, like a human. Through sheer will power he could do this. This message was at the bottom of the email:

The doors are open for only those who believe in themselves and Will Power which can make an animal walk on TWO LEGS...!!

I sat there and thought for a minute....YES! I do believe in myself, and YES! I will get through this hurdle that God has put in front of me. YES! I will make it through and land on my 2 feet!

Then, there was this for me this morning;

I was looking through all my email, drinking my coffee and sorting out email to delete, file etc and there was a post on my blog from one of my designers at Scraphead. She said she had a surprise for me. So I went into my bookmarks and went to Snowravens Blog. I checked out her slide shows, I love that she does those :), and arrived at her July 14th post. She posts them earlier than even I get up because she is in the UK and I am in the Rocky Mountains of the US.
As I read through the post, there it was. She was giving awards out, and there I was, top of the list! ME! I actually started crying a little again, but it was happy tears this time instead of tears of dread or sadness. I read what she wrote and realized that all the work that I had put into things over the last year wasn't all for naught, someone did appreciate me. I kinda knew that I had a great little 'family' at Scraphead (some of which had started when I began my first site, Kutnkudlys Kreations), but here it was for all to see! These gals have been wonderful during this time of my life that has been to say the least extremely stressful, and they have been doing a fantastic job as designers, site promoters, they're growing so much. I'm so proud of them! It really started my day off right!

Now, there was a little catch, which doesn't bother me in the least (except for the thought process...lol) I have to put the award here on my blog, and nominate 7 others. YIKES! So, without further ado, here goes:

1. Bridget - You have been something else. You always get me cheered up, you've done such a wonderful job with the challenges and the forum at Scraphead, and you're a great ear and shoulder when I need one. I've luved ya since the day I met ya!

2. Cindy Ritter - You have been great too. You got volunteered for things at Scraphead that you didn't know you were getting volunteered for, but you have jumped in with both feet and really shined! You have also been a great sounding board, we've been able to brainstorm about things, and you've been there when I've needed an ear as well. You're awesome too!

3. Roxanne - Can I just say I love your blog? I may not be able to read it everyday, but when I do, I love the inspirational posts you put on there. Grounds me again :)

4. Afridigidiva - You're a nut, you get me laughing, you drive me nuts, but you call it like you see it, and I love you for that (it means I'm not the only one..lol) And you've been there when I've needed an ear too ;) Love ya girl!

5. Deb Ammerman - Still love you to death, you gave me my start in this industry, and for that I will be eternally grateful! You are an awesome lady!

6. Ilona - You are awesome gal, life has thrown you some curves, but you've come around the bend fabulously! I love your work and your spirit!

7. Miki Ferkul - What can I say, I just absolutely LOVE your designs! You have always been very sweet and just a general overall great gal!

I went down to Utah last Tuesday, and saw my new baby granddaughter. This is Lilah Eva, and just a little dollbaby! **course, I might be a little prejudiced ;)**

I just don't understand some folks. I really don't. There are some in this world I guess that are just miserable, jealous, disgruntled, or just plain bitchy, and I guess the only thing that makes them happy is to try to bring down others.

There has been a blog that was sharing kits, paid for or not, and a lot of us designers had been working feverishly to contact the original designers and bring this gal down. Well, it appears that success was to be had, the gal shut down the 'scrap' portion of her blog. Another gal took it over and some had posted about how happy they were to see it go, while a couple others tried to make this 'malina' look like a do-gooder for taking it down. She was busted, plain and simple, and if nothing else, Blogger probably forced her to remove that portion. (why they didn't have her remove the shared music, books, software, etc, I have no idea, but that's in a different arena). Anyway, I posted, with my name, about how this gal was NOT a good gal, she was a thief, and that she should be busted by the other industries affected as well as the scrapbook design industry.

Sooo.....on to why I don't understand people....

This morning, someone who decided to go by 'jf' posted to my blog. Well, she tried, because I have comment moderation on here, so it came to my inbox to get approved. This is what she wrote:

You have the nerve to slander malinasscraps for pirating kits when it's a well known fact in the designing industry that you michelle are the biggest pirate of them all. You sit there in judgement of others, thats the pot calling the kettle black I'd say. Let he who be without sin cast the first stone, and you dear girls should have boulders thrown at you. YOUR A DISGRACE!!!!!

Now, first off, this person has hidden behind the cloak of anonymity, like so many that want to trash others do, so I really don't know who she is....coincidence leads me to a couple people, but since I have no proof, I won't mention the possibilities here.

Now, secondly, she states that I am the biggest pirate of them all and it's a 'well known fact'.....really! I don't share files, I don't use personal use designs for commercial gain or to give away, I purchase my products that I use in my design business, so.....that makes me a pirate, HOW???

Next, who gives her the right to 'judge' me and call me names? I can't even say I know this person, but I probably don't because nobody I know thinks this way. If they did, they wouldn't associate with me, right? At least I don't think they would.

Also, when I post, I post with my name. I have nothing to hide, I'm not ashamed of anything I write or do. I don't say anything on here that I wouldn't say to someone face to face. Can this person say the same thing? Evidentally not, because she doesn't even have the balls to come straight face to face and tell me what she thinks, she hides behind 'jf'.

Anyway, just had to get my opinions out a little on this, not because I was upset about it, but because I thought it kinda funny and yet annoying all at the same time.

Some people just don't get it, do they?

P.S. the least she could do is run a spell check or proof-read before she hits the 'publish post' button too.....Maybe I'd take her a little more seriously....or maybe not ;)

Ok, I'm spilling the beans!

I've recently purchased the digital scrapbook site, Scraphead! I'm so excited about this it's not even funny!

Carol Abram, the previous owner has not only been wonderful in helping me with the transition, but she is also going to stay on, at least for a while, as a designer! WOO HOO! There are a bunch of great designers there, and I'm not only moving there myself with my designs, but those that are currently at Kutnkudlys Kreations will be moving over, and we are getting a bunch of great new designers coming on board as well! Ok, I basically just have a question for ya'll;

Would you trust and buy from a designer who confessed to stealing digital kits (and making money off them illegally) when the incidents were just confessed to less than 2 months ago? Would you hire this designer to sell at your store? Do you think enough time has passed to say that this designer learned their lesson?

Now on to that doctor visit. For the past year, I've been dealing with a 'rash' if you want to call it that on the bottom/side of my foot that one doctor called a really weird name, said it was probably stress or allergy related and blew me off. So since I had to go for my 'checkup' anyway, I had this new doctor (who I like much better) check it. He prescribed an ointment to put on it, and needless to say it didn't work. Soooo, now it's biopsy time. Well that was fun, NOT!
That little tiny itty bitty skinny needle he used to numb the area was PAINFUL to say the least! The biopsy itself of course didn't hurt, but now the numbing has worn off, and I have to wear shoes at the bar all day...this should be interesting..lol

Oh well, we'll have the results about Wednesday, hopefully it's something he can fix permanently, cuz the itching is keeping me awake at night and making me very grumpy!

Other than that, things are busy as usual, lambies are getting big, gotta go get 2 more cuz 2 died (leaving us with 2), store is doing really well, the daily download is a hot commodity, and I'm having fun designing still!

New Kit and new Lambs!

Well, I had a request for this by a friend of mine, she had some pictures she desperately wanted to scrap, and couldn't find a kit to fit them, so I created one for her. 'It's Italiano' is a fun kit, full of 'spaghetti' elements so you can scrap those pictures of the 'first' spaghetti dinner for your child, or a special spaghetti dinner of any type!

This kit is available in both a personal and S4O/S4H version, both are available in my store. Image is clickable and will take you directly to the personal use version.

NOW! On to the lambs! Yes, we're ranchers again this year, and on a slightly bigger scale. Yesterday we went and picked up 4 new baby lambs! We brought them home in my car (due to gas costs...ugh), and they rode fine and are adjusting to their new home well.

So now we're bottle feeding 3 times a day, have them temporarily in the garage till we can remove snow to get to the barn..lol....that may be in the summer! LOL

Wow, this year is flying so fast already it's unreal.

Well I've been busy, with designing, getting products into the stores, nursemaiding a hubby who got 2nd degree burns on his forearm when he stumbled into the wood stove while standing up after loading it, and getting a new designer set up at Kutnkudlys Kreations, and yes, getting stuff together to do my taxes. Ugh! What a week it has been. February went out with a bang, I'll tell ya!

We do have a new designer at Kutnkudlys Kreations, and I am so excited to have her. Carol Burns has decided to join our team. She has been selling before at other stores and she wanted to join us! WOW! This is so cool! She's in the process of getting her beautiful products added to our store, so please go check them out and keep an eye open for what she will put in there in the near future!

I've added 'A Hunting We Will Go' to my Scrap4Hire section at Kutnkudlys Kreations, as well as a personal use version at 3Scrapateers! It's a really cool kit for those who do outdoor layouts as well as the hunting/fishing ones. You have to check it out!

My Monday Mixer at Divine Digital has been going great, the gals have created some really great layouts with the challenges they've been given as well as some of the kits that they've gotten for completing them. We have a fun musical kit, 'A Note 4 U' for the month of March, please stop by on Monday nights at 9pm ET and join in for some fun chat, a fun challenge each week, and a great kit!

In April I have a special treat for those attending the chat, so you won't want to miss a single one!

Well, I guess I better end this post, It's been lengthier than I had planned, but I hadn't blogged in a few days so I've had a lot to say :)

In light of all the digital scrapbooking piracy going on here of late, I really needed an excuse to post something positive here on my blog, which over the last week I've been sadly neglecting.

One of the designers at my site, Kutnkudlys Kreations, who goes by SnowRaven, has created this wonderful slideshow of her designs. I think she did a great job not only on her slideshow, but on her designs as well!

It didn't start out that way, but when I seriously realized that my laptop was dying a slow death, it was taking me forever to design anything, and multitasking? FORGET IT!, I decided I needed to invest in a new laptop. Sooooo....I went to the Dell site and found one that matched similar specs that other designers had said worked really well for them while using PS etc, and it arrived YESTERDAY!!!

At 2pm, the DHL delivery guy showed up and the fun began! I had already moved my files from the old laptop to the EHD so that I could get to them, so that was done, but still had to get programs installed, outlook converted over, etc. I began working on it, and unfortunately at about 6:30pm, my power went out! Before the batteries went dead in both laptops, I managed to get my outlook folder exported and things like Hello, msn messenger, yahoo messenger, pando and a few others installed. The power finally came on about 8:15, just in time for hubby to get home from work, so we chatted a bit while he unwound from work and went to bed. So this morning, after receiving about 5" of new snow, he gets a call from his boss saying 'don't come to work'. Oh boy, I get to put up with him all day, him being bored with nothing to do (except plow the new snow), so this day should be a challenge. He should be pretty good though, he knows I have a lot to do getting this computer set up the rest of the way, as well as get the grab bag done for this weekends Divine Digital grab bag sale, so all should hopefully go well? LOL....keep your fingers crossed! I'd cross mine, but that would make typing a little difficult! LMBO

Anyway, I'm loving this Inspiron 1520 already, I played with Photoshop a little bit last night, testing a couple actions that I knew took FOREVER on the old one, and lickity split, boom! Done! WOO HOO!! So I'm going back to setting things up, just couldn't hold back any longer and had to tell ya'll!!

Ok, so I'm 44 ;)

Anyway, I have a day of designing planned for today, finishing up a preview for a fun, tropical kit that is actually a revamp of my old Tropical Dreams kit. Should have it in my stores today!

Did have some frustrating news this morning, woke up to no hot water in the kitchen or the washing machine.....grrrr.....So, when DH got home from work this morning, he went downstairs, and sure enough, our heat tape had given up the ghost....so we put the space heater by the pipes, hopefully that will work for now. Yes, it's been cold here, we had 60 mph winds yesterday, and when I got up this morning it was -1F...can you say BRRRRR? LOL

Other than that, my day has been great so far, keep your fingers crossed nothing else goes wrong today..lol

I woke up this morning in a great mood (outside of this lingering cold), and went to my computer to check email for any business correspondence that might need my immediate attention and found an email from the BBB in AZ. It stated that I had a response to my complaint that I filed with them on Jan 7, 2008. To say the least, I was floored. I expected a similar response to what was written in the response, but some of it was unexpected. This is the response, and it's a copy/paste from the BBB website:

January 14, 2008

DigiScrapDesigner.com is an online website providing high quality Photoshop tutorials for the Digital Scrapbook Community. It has been on line since May 15, 2005 and has served more than 5,000 customers.

Any individual's payment of this type is simply for the ability to access a web site. Upon payment, the individual has complete access to all of the applicable materials. Because instantaneous possession of digital assets can not be rescinded, it is the policy of Digiscrapdesigner.com to not issue refunds for digital materials already obtained by the user.

The Terms of Use for DigiScrapDesigner.com are publicly posted at:

http://www.digiscrapdesigner.com/termsofuse.html

These terms of use have been unchanged since January 2007.

Just as any brick-and-mortar business has the right to refuse service to any person who is contentious, disruptive, engaging in or encouraging others to engage in illegal behavior, and creating an unpleasant experience for other customers, so too, an on line business is responsible for the experience of all of their participants, and also reserves the right to deny service to an individual who's behavior is unacceptable.

The protection of intellectual property is a serious issue for anyone operating an online business in any field including but not limited to photography, art, creative or technical writing, music or video. It is against the law to redistribute copyrighted material without explicit permission from the copyright holder.

Michelle Powell filed a dispute claim in this matter through PayPal on December 5, 2007. The case was closed by PayPal.

Anything referred to in this complaint after the date of December 5, 2007 has no merit since the complaintant's access was denied as of December 1, 2007.

It may be considered, however, that the complaintant has, again, displayed contentious behavior by the filing of this complaint, and including remarks on a situation in which they are not personally involved.

So, is she accusing me of something here? Have I now been dubbed 'contentious' because of my filing of the complaint?

The BBB had a spot at the end of the response that asked if I accepted her answer or not, and of course I clicked on 'no', and it had room for further response from me. They got my response, as well as a request for an email address that I can forward further information including my paypal receipt that says my payment was for an 'annual subscription' .

The only additional information I had provided to the BBB about this case (which is what she's probably referring to in the 'after Dec 5' part, is the fact that I told them about her shutting down her site on Dec 24th (which was true), and the fact that she had offered no explanation or refund to any of her paid subscribers (also true from what others have posted).

Here was my original complaint with the BBB:
"On Oct 28, 2007, I paid Digiscrapdesigner $35 for an annual subscription which was to provide advertising opportunities, tutorials and access to other valuable information via a subscriber-only based online forum at the website. As of Dec 1, 2007, my account/IP address was banned from this site without explanation or reason. No violations of the site Terms of Service were committed on my part. On Dec 24, 2007, the owner of Digiscrapdesigner.com shut down her site, denying access to all her paid subscribers without explanation. She has offered no refunds, either in full or prorated, and her paid subscribers, including myself, are unable to obtain any of the products/services that we paid for. I have screenshots of the website, and receipts through paypal showing payment if you would like me to forward them to you.

According to her response, that information has 'no merit', because I 'wasn't personally involved.' Well, I may have not been personally involved, but I do have accurate information based on the postings from other subscribers, as well as emails and private messages that came to me from her subscribers."

Well, I really didn't expect anything different, really. She has from the beginning when she banned me from the site I paid for with no explanation, handled this entire situation very unprofessionally, and she's still being dishonest about the whole thing.

Ok, now that I have that out of my system, off to do work that's important to me....Designing, and making sure that there aren't any problems with customers or the designers at my site.

I was playing around with an idea for my granddaughter that I could use to create cards and layouts for her and the like, and I had so much fun creating these little guys and the clothing to go with them, I decided to start making them to sell!

So, without further ado, here are 'Makaya Bears', named for my beautiful little granddaughter. This is just the first set, I'm going to be making more bears in the future, as well as more clothes for them. Also, if there are any color schemes that you want for your bears, or particular patterns etc, just let me know, and I'll make a set for you!

Well, we have just got 3 new designers signed on, and they are working feverishly to get their stores set up. I am so excited about these gals, they have new styles of kits that we didn't have before, so that is wonderful!

Let it snow!

Figured I'd throw this in today, a friend of ours came over with his snowblower because my beloved redneck hubby hasn't yet put the snowblower motor back on the snowblower since he put it on the rototiller in the spring, to help us get rid of some of the snow around the house:

Well, here it is, a couple days after Christmas, and I'm still running around like crazy! :)

I got my Divine Digital Diva Deal of the week kit done, it's in the store now:*due to a temporary glitch at Divine Digital, we're having problems with the site*

It's only $2 until Wednesday, Jan 3, 2008, so go get it now! I'll be holding a chat on Wednesday night at 10pm ET, will have an attendance freebie for those who join me as well as a posting bonus for those that complete the challenge using this kit.

I had a great Christmas, pretty quiet, we went to our local VFW on Christmas eve to celebrate with some friends and sing Christmas carols, and had friends over for a dinner on Christmas Day. My daughter went to California, and my son is in Iraq, daughter in law was moving back down to Utah, so pretty quiet here this year. That was all kind of a major bummer, but it's ok, there's always next year.

Hope those of you that celebrate Christmas had a joyful one, and that you enjoy the New Year as well.

I learned something new yesterday

and it was disheartening. I wanted to pass this info on to all of you. It's a Buyer Beware.

I purchased an annual subscription to a site back on October 28, 2007. At some point between Nov 24th and Dec 1st, 2007, I was banned from this site, and for no apparent reason at all other than maybe I didn't have the same view on an issue as the owner of the site. I never received any email from the site owner telling me that I had been banned or the reason why I was banned. All I know is that I went in to look at some more tutorials that were on the site on the morning of Dec 1st, and each time I typed in the web address I was immediately taken to the google search page. I thought this was weird, and maybe a glitch in my computer or my internet, so I rebooted my computer and my wireless router. I tried again. I was able to get to the main page of the site, so I proceeded to log in. It was then that the shock occurred. A screen showed up saying that I was banned from the site, listed next to the 'reason given for ban' was the word 'none'. Next to the 'date ban removed' was 'Never.

WHAT THE??????

So, I went to the site where I know the owner frequents and tried to either email the owner or send an instant message to this individual, and those options were not available to me.

So now, I can't contact the owner. But, I paid through paypal! So I went to paypal to file a claim and open a dispute. I found the transaction and opened a claim, inputting the information regarding what had happened. Now I wait for a response from the owner. On Dec 4th, a response is finally in. The owner stated that I had chosen to handle this through a 'public forum' and listed a link for the site's Terms of Use.

I clicked on that link for grins and giggles to see if, in fact, I had violated any terms that I wasn't immediately aware of. I read through it all and it was confirmed....NO....I hadn't done ANYTHING that was in violation of the site's terms of Use. SO WHAT THE ????

I wasn't going to let it rest, this wasn't right!

I called paypal to talk to a human being. I was informed that since what I had purchased was a 'digital goods or service', there was no recourse for me at this time, they couldn't refund my money..... There was no physical product involved that could be tracked etc to prove that I had received what I paid for, and I didn't buy through ebay, and on and on.....I WAS LIVID!!!!! I had proof of payment, I had a screen shot of the page that told me I was banned and for how long! I had proof that I had only received a months' worth of that 12 month subscription, and therefore no longer had access to the future information I had paid for, nor the advertising opportunities that I would have had during the remaining 11 months. The final thing paypal told me was that my claim would remind on a watch list for the next 180 days. If the seller(site owner) had future complaints in that time, they would then 'force' the seller to pay on all the claims that had been opened....well I guess that's a plus....

So I guess the moral of this little saga is this....If you buy an annual subscription to a site, use a Credit card to pay for it, or use a Credit card through paypal so that you can use your credit card company to fight for you, because due to the rules/regulations of Paypal, they can't really help. Not right away anyway.

If you have purchased an annual subscription to a site, and were banned for no reason that you are aware of, file a dispute with paypal. If it happens to be for a site that has a reputation of doing this, hopefully enough claims will be filed and the site owner will have to pay up.

Don't just sit back and do nothing, what happened to me isn't right, it isn't fair, and it shouldn't be allowed to continue.

Ok, off my soapbox now, got to get to work at what's important to me....designing.

I'M SO EXCITED!!!!!

UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!

My DIL sent me a text message yesterday, and this is what it said:

Since ur son has failed 2 tell u, 2 my knowledge, i will. I am 15 weeks pregnant.

WHOA!!!!!!!!!

Now mind you, my initial reaction was WOOOOO HOOOO!!!!!!!

Then it turned to 'that little Sh!t!' LOL

Then it went back to WOOOOO HOOOOO!!!!!

Then it went to WOW, they're going to be close!!!!

16 months apart......well, not much different than my kids, they were 17 months apart, but I do remember how chaotic that was at times.....yes, there are some things this old, feeble brain does still remember :)

The other part that sucks, is that my son is going to Iraq next month, so he's going to miss the birth of this one too....dammit!

She's going to move back to Utah while he's gone (that's her home) to be near family (I only wish she was coming here instead), but the good part is, they'll only be 2 1/2 hours away instead of 9 1/2...but it's Utah!

Now, why, you may ask, am I grumbling over the fact that it's Utah? Well, I spent 22 years down there, and had really grown weary of all the chaos, and after a year and a half of living up here in Idaho in the peace and quiet, I tend to get a little testy when I drive down there...Not to mention that the last 2 times I went there, my car broke down! And for no explainable reason either! And once I got the car back home, DH drove it 130 miles round trip to work without a problem....grrrrrr....I think my car was trying to tell me something, but now I have 1, 2, 3 more reasons to drive down there......It was working out fairly well, me just telling family (mom and daughter) that my car didn't like going over the border anymore, so they would have to come see me...mom did, daughters always busy, but it was working.....NOW I have to go there! yeeks!

Oh well, minor concession I guess considering the fact that I'll get to see my little princess more and now the new one!!! So I'm back to WOO HOO!!!!!

I'M GONNA BE A NANA AGAIN!!!!!!

Oh, and in case anyone of you were wondering why I call her 'my little princess', just look at this face!!

Ok, I'm having a ball now!

I changed my status at Divine Digital, I'm still selling there, but I'm rearranging things a little;
Some of my designs will now be found at www.kutnkudlyskreations.com/shop along with the other designers there. Also my custom scrapbook services can be found there.
My store at Divine will remain there, and now I'm going to be designing for 3S too!

I have the S4O license at Divine that you can purchase in addition to my kits, it's good for 3 years.
If you would prefer to pay for licensing on a per kit basis, you can find S4O friendly kits at Kutnkudlys Kreations.

I have been really busy trying to get all this stuff set up, and I'm still working on it, but things are rolling!

What is?

Well, back in July, Divine Digital had a Christmas in July celebration, we did a mega kit (which was great!), and then we had some other events, one of which I provided some gifties for. I created some premade 'wraps' that you could add a photo to, some text, print them out and then wrap them around your candles!

Neat, huh??

I thought so, so after that, I started brainstorming and thinking, and decided to name these 'KandleWraps' and start creating a whole line of them.

Well my first 2 sets have been released, and I am just tickled with them!

I created them using my 'Angels Among Us' kit, and made one set more for the boy side and one set for a more girlie side;

They are exclusively at Divine Digital, you can click on the image to go directly to the set and see them better, but they are soooo cool!! I'm going to continue making them, using different kits of mine and then new sets as I come up with ideas.

Got an idea for a set? Email me, and if I use your idea, you'll get the set for FREE!!! How's that?? :) You'll even get listed in the product description as the inspiration for the set!

New challenge in my life

Beginning tonight, I will be hosting the Monday Mixer at Divine Digital, 9pm ET.

We'll get together for some chatting, a challenge and the preview of the kit you all will receive for completing the challenges. Each week you complete a challenge, you will get part of the kit, and at the end of the month, if you complete all of them, not only will you have the complete kit, but you'll get an add-on bonus too!! Ok, so this is soooo totally unrelated to scrapbooking or designing, but I'm so excited I can't contain myself. Not only is today opening day of the deer hunt, and hubby and I are going out again tonight (we went out this morning, but didn't get one, saw em though) to try and get us a couple bucks, but today is the day that the siding job on our home is finally going to get started!!! I've been waiting forever! It is going to look absolutely awesome when it's done!!!! :D

Ok, on to the latest in my scrapbooking and digital designing. I still haven't had much time to scrap for myself, and that's probably due in part to not having the greatest time management skills, but I'm working on it! BUT, I have got some new stuff in the store! I put out a couple more of my Sept grab bag items that were available for commercial use, (and they still are), so please go check them out at my Divine Digital store!

New Kits!

Well, in spite of internet troubles here at home (and believe me, I'm so ready to throw my computer and my internet equipment out the window) for the last 2-3 weeks, I did manage to get a couple new items in my store! Woo Hoo!!

I've completed my latest St. Jude kit, called 'Hopes N Dreams'. It's full of all the colors of the rainbow, neat elements, beautiful papers and some great wordart!

Again, Ilona Havenaar has assisted me in creating this wonderful kit, and I thank her so much for all her efforts and creativity! She's awesome! All proceeds go to St. Judes'.

The other project I finally got to upload successfully into the store is 'Feelin' Groovy'. A Fun, sixties kit that will make you feel groovy and create far out layouts!

Well, after changing hosts for my site to a guy I found has no clue as to what customer service is, and just wanted to blame everything on my site (which worked on the previous host), and any correspondence I received from him was very short and blunt (couldn't even sign his name at the end of the email or address me by name), I found another host. Since the previous domain was expiring and I'm not doing gift baskets anymore, I decided to change to a new name that fit what I'm doing, I'm now at www.kutnkudlyskreations.com.

Holy cow!! It's the middle of July already! Where is this year going? They say time flies when you're having fun, and I guess they're right! I've been busy designing, gardening (which has been a sheer test of patience with the weather up here), finding time to scrap, fishing and designing some more! :) Yes, I've been busy.

Well, we went fishing a couple times over the holiday weekend, (hubby's schedule actually worked out this way), and so we went to a couple places we love. The first time, I caught a fish that we were able to bring home, and the second time, I got 3 ;). We had a ball fishing, it was peaceful, and lovely days! I just had to scrap it, cuz I'm getting a total kick out of the fact that the girls beat the boys on this one!!! Hubby didn't catch any! I actually have landed 6 fish altogether, but the first 2 were the first one's caught in each of the places we fished, so we released them for luck....guess it worked!!!

My Life has Changed!

Wow, what a month March has been! At the first of the month, I, along with my daughter in law and my beautiful granddaughter flew to Kentucky to see my son graduate from Advanced Army Training! That was a great trip! They're now settling in in Colorado.

While I was in Kentucky, I got an offer to design for Divine Digital. I thought I had died and gone to heaven! After a lot of thought and balancing the pro's and con's, I decided to take the leap. The position I wanted at Divine made me make another decision, I had to leave Deco-Pages and Digizines and design solely for Divine. I CAN DO THIS!!!!

So, with a month of preparation, changing kit previews to fit in with the Divine setups, it's been a busy month, but here it is April 1st, and my big debut with the new site! The closer it got to the end of the month, the more excited I got!

I haven't gotten ALL my designs loaded to Divine yet, but I'm getting there. You really should check it out! I do have a couple new things up that I manage to finish working on this month, and I think they turned out pretty good.

Yep, it's official, I got another designing gig! As of the first of 2007, I will be designing for www.digizinesdigitalden.com. This is such a cool site, small and cozy, but have made me feel welcome already! I'll still be designing for www.deco-pages.com too. Now, this means I'm going to be busier than ever, but what a way to stay busy by doing things that you love, right? So now, the only thing I have to do now is get my greeting cards going and I'll be like a pig in a mud bog! I've started revamping my webpage to accommodate the shopping cart, and also new pages for the cards to sit on, and as soon as I get that all finalized, you'll be the first to know! All my greeting cards will be made with scrapbooking creations, so they'll have that unique look to them that you can't get in stores! I'm excited about all of this!
Anyway, better get out of here and back to work! Busy busy busy!!!!! :D

Oh, I had so much fun once I started working on this kit. A gal at our site wanted a kit that was more tropical for Christmas, for those who don't get snow! Who has a white Christmas in Florida? So, I stepped up to the challenge (been a while since I lived in Southern California, and I have been getting pretty much a white Christmas every year since), and started working on it. Here is what I came up with, and I am tickled to death over how it came out:
